AcupunctureAcupuncture is used in conjunction with other treatments such as manual therapy and exercise to enhance treatment outcomes by reducing pain and promoting healing. It stimulates the brain and spinal cord to produce natural chemicals such as endorphins and serotonin.
Ostenil Injection TherapyAn effective treatment for mild to moderate osteoarthritis, we inject a substance directly into a joint or tissue to achieve pain relief that typically lasts 9 – 12 months.
Sports MassageSports massage is a deep tissue massage used to alleviate stress and tension and to address minor issues as they occur to help prevent long term niggling injuries developing. Anyone can benefit from a sports massage, you don’t have to be a sports person!
Spinal ManipulationA manual therapy which involves manipulation of the spine to increase the range of movement. It is often used to relieve chronic lower back pain.
Sports TapingTaping can be used to give additional support to muscles and joints to aid the recovery process and reduce pain. The tape must be applied in a specific way which is influenced by many individual factors. You should consult an expert for advice before using tape yourself.

Locating the Building
We are located in the “Total Fitness” Health Club in Walkden.
If approaching from Bolton (St Peters Way – A666) the clinic can be located by exiting at the “Kearsley roundabout”, keep in the left hand lane and go straight on to join Long Causeway. Carry on up this road until you see Farnworth Tesco’s on the left. Take a left at the main traffic lights onto Worsley Road. Continue down Worsley Road (changes to Bolton Road) for 1 mile until you reach “New Ellesmere Approach” Retail Park located on the right hand side. The gym is on the right hand side next to the Bingo hall.
If you are travelling from Walkden or Worsley, the clinic can be located on the left, 0.3 miles up Bolton Road. Take a left at the lights once you have passed the large Walkden Tesco’s. The gym is situated within the “New Ellesmere Approach” Retail Park next to the Bingo Hall.
There is private car parking available in the gym car park. If this is full (at peak times) there are numerous “overflow” car parks on the retail park which can be used.
Accessing the Building
Please use the health clubs main front door.
Total Fitness reception/ help desk is located to the right of the turn styles as you enter the building and they can direct you to our clinic.
