Sport Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy, Acupuncture & Sports Massage
The overwhelming majority of patients we see require help to deal with pain, weakness or limited range of movement that is affecting their ability to do the things they love such as sports and hobbies or the things they must do such as work or provide care for their family.
Our reputation has enabled us to expand our business to help more and more people across Greater Manchester and the Wirral
Our expertise
We always have integrity at the forefront of our minds and if we feel we are not the best placed people to help you we will always refer to someone who is. Our reputation and your well-being are of the highest importance to us.
This reputation has resulted in us treating elite athletes including Commonwealth champions, European Champions, World and Olympic medallists. We are also trusted by high profile companies such as Greater Manchester Fire service, North West Ambulance service and Manchester City council to look after their greatest asset – their employees.
We are also recognised as a teaching clinic for all the local universities. We very much hope all of this displays the level of excellence we maintain.
Our Service
We cover a range of services depending on your requirements. Our therapy services range from acupuncture to help any pain or inflammation issues you may be having, to sports massage and sports taping to help recover from stress or tightness that may have built up due to training.
If you are unsure whether we can help you, or you would just like to speak to somebody before you consider booking an appointment please call 0161 745 7551 or 0151 515 2323.
Diagnosis
We feel very strongly that the most important part of our service is to identify the underlying cause of the condition whether that be poor posture, muscle imbalance, postural anomalies, poor working practices or poor sporting / exercise technique. To then address and correct this to ensure we fully educate our patients on how to prevent further episodes.
So, if you are having difficulty doing the things you want or need to do then please pick up the phone and call us as we would love to use our passion and expertise to help you.
Treatment
Musculoskeletal therapy is at the very core of all the services at Metro Physio but we also provide a wide variety of additional treatments to ensure we achieve the optimal results for our patients. Research shows that not all patients respond equally to the same techniques and treatments. Your treatment plan will be tailored to your specific needs.
We appreciate that there is something to be learnt and gained from all approaches to the treatment of musculoskeletal pain so we also incorporate techniques from Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Acupuncturists and Sports Massage therapists.
This means we can provide very specific treatment and rehabilitation that is completely focused on enabling the patient to achieve their specific goals whether that be an elite athlete working toward a major championship or a carer who needs to look after a sick relative.
