This presentation covers a broad spectrum of ergonomic issues to help educate workers and minimise the risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders. The presentation covers basic spine and shoulder anatomy and biomechanics, how to minimise the risk of developing common spinal and shoulder injuries and up to date manual handling principles. This presentation can be implemented as a “one off” service or in conjunction to the other services provided.
Who needs this presentation;
Employers of staff performing manual handling activity or repetitive upper limb activity. The presentation can be tailored to the needs of the group. For example, if the group performs lots of upper limb activity and there is a trend towards shoulder injuries then we can provide a specific presentation for this. In some cases we may recommend a group presentation to precede individual assessments as this will reduce the time required for the following individual assessments and therefore lead to reduced cost.
Please note: a group talk only, without individual assessments will not comply with HSE requirements. For this please see our “Manual Handling Training” service.
