WHY NOT USE THE SERVICE PROVIDED FREE BY THE NHS?

Waiting lists for physiotherapy on the NHS can be as much as six months. The longer an injury is left untreated the more chronic the condition and mindset of the patient becomes.

Results of a study by the IRS employment review in March 2004 highlighted the following ;-

Almost half of the Companies surveyed stated that the failure of the NHS to provide adequate access to physiotherapy had affected them.

Less than one in ten employers considered GP’s as an effective means of supporting their sickness absence management.

UK manufacturers wishing to tackle absence are severely frustrated by the lack of support from the NHS.

There is a fundamental problem regarding the lack of training to GP’s in Occupational Health and evidence based guidelines.

That there needed to be a much greater understanding between employers, GP’s and other healthcare professionals regarding the management of sickness absence.

Metro Physio will work closely with your company as required, providing statistics and reports to highlight any issues that need addressing.
